The standard for Music Extremely LOW!!!! Like Flo Ridah LOW lol. The industry is standing around tryna figure out why the Rap game and music Game in general are down. All you have to do is turn on the radio and LISTEN, there is prolly 8 artist in constant rotation. Why would the Consumers want to spend full price for a CD if ur whole album sounds like Your single on the Radio???? CRAP!!!! And the Labels don't sign people for talent anymore, its all Image based. Now days u just need a catchy hook, look sexy or talk about Sex and ur on. If you look at Artist like Jay-Z, kanye & TI who still have first week sales in the 400,000 + range u can see wut there winning secret is. Being Consistent and Staying yourself will get you to the top. Labels need to take more chances with artist who are hungry and original. Check Lady gaga for Instance, She cant really sing that good but she goes against the grain and against the norm. Everytime she hits the stage she looks crazy as Shit, but that's wut people love ORIGINALITY!!! I kno at the end of the day this is a business, but wouldn't u make more money if you think outside the box instead of following the Trends??? The Average consumer doesn't kno wut good music is anymore. The Radio Force's us to listen to this Bull crap cause the labels pay them to. People Think wutever plays on the radio is the the S*%T, And if u aren't on the Radio u aint Ish. The standard for a Quality rapper has drop from tryna be like a Jay-Z to being like Soulja Boy SMH. I think im about to be a Singer lol
